ExperimentalDESCRIPTION
This contemporary branding project explores how a visual identity can complement an artist’s work without competing for attention. Early in the process, balancing the geometric elements of the brand identifier with the expressive qualities of the featured artwork became a challenge. Rather than allowing the identity to dominate, the approach shifted toward placing the artist and their work at the center, allowing the surrounding visual system to act as a supporting framework.
A playful yet contemporary color palette, geometric forms, and interconnected backgrounds were developed to create continuity across the poster and banner series. Establishing the posters first provided a foundation for the broader identity, allowing key visual elements to extend naturally across bus advertisements, bucket hats, tote bags, and other promotional materials. The resulting system creates a recognizable presence across different applications while giving the artwork space to remain the primary focus.
Ultimately, the project became an exercise in balance: creating a distinct identity that could stand on its own while remaining flexible enough to celebrate the artist it was designed to represent.
Disclaimer: Featured artworks belong to artist Fabric Lenny and are used respectfully for this conceptual project. The project was created solely as an exploration of branding and promotion surrounding the artist and their work.
