AeJay is a graphic designer from Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design and a minor in User Experience Design as of May 2026. With experimentation and curiosity for design, AeJay emphasizes research, exploration and refinement to each project.
He collaborates within the working design industry, with work spanning across branding, visual identity, posters, editorial, web & digital design.

DESCRIPTION
This type specimen poster explores the history, characteristics, and cultural significance of a selected typeface through research and visual experimentation. The project examines how the typeface has evolved and been used over time, translating those findings into a composition that reflects its distinct visual identity.
Typography, historical information, iconography, and the letterforms themselves work together to communicate the research while demonstrating the typeface in practice. Through hierarchy, scale, and composition, the final poster balances education with
visual exploration, transforming the history of the typeface into an engaging
typographic experience.
