AeJay is a graphic designer from Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor’s in Graphic Design and a minor in User Experience Design as of May 2026. With experimentation and curiosity for design, AeJay emphasizes research, exploration and refinement to each project.
He collaborates within the working design industry, with work spanning across branding, visual identity, posters, editorial, web & digital design.
His work has been selected for and received multiple awards and recognitions, including GDUSA Student to Watch, Midwestern Graphic Design Biennial, UCDA Design Awards, Art Director’s Association of Iowa, Flux National Student Design Competition, among others.

DESCRIPTION
This experimental flyer playfully explores the idea that “Aliens Are Real,” using exaggerated typography, grainy textures, distortion, and high-contrast imagery to create a visual experience that feels mysterious, strange, and slightly absurd. The oversized type becomes the main focus of the composition, transforming a familiar extraterrestrial conspiracy into a bold and playful statement.
Inspired by the visual language of questionable photographic evidence, old surveillance footage, and unexplained sightings, the distressed treatment intentionally blurs the line between something believable and something fabricated.
Small UFO forms are subtly placed throughout the composition as hidden details, rewarding a closer look without distracting from the typography. Ultimately, the flyer embraces the curiosity and humor surrounding the unknown, leaving viewers to wonder, even if just for a moment, what if aliens really are real?
